I have long been against too much mixing of church and state. As a devoutly religious person, I strongly oppose any forced beliefs. I am usually not one to object to some harmless appearance of religion if leaders wish it so.
But a Boston Globe columnist takes on the issue strongly here. Read it and see what you think. Remain faithful to whatever your belief is.
